SHABBAT

ADONAI said to Moshe,
“Tell the people of Isra’el, ‘You are to observe my Shabbats; for this is a
sign between me and you through all generations; so that you will know that I
am ADONAI who sets you apart for me. On six days work will get done; but the
seventh day is Shabbat, for complete rest, set apart for ADONAI.”‘
Sh’mot (Exodus) 31:12-13, 15
“The people of
Isra’el are to keep the Shabbat, to observe Shabbat through all generations as
a perpetual covenant. It is a sign between me and the people of Isra’el
forever, for in six days ADONAI made heaven and earth, but on the seventh day
he stopped working and rested.”‘
Sh’mot (Exodus) 31:16-17

School Visits

Religious Education and Study is an integral part of any school’s curriculum, and the Synagogue, along with all Synagogues and other places of worship, recognizes its vital role in presenting a positive and lively Jewish faith life to young people at whatever stage of education, from Key Stage 1 to Key Stage 5. The Rabbi has experience in talking to children and young people from pre-school assemblies to Sixth-Form classes and has an enhanced CRB certificate held by the Synagogue. If you would like to book the Rabbi to visit your school, or simply want to discuss how we might help your school’s curriculum, then do please contact us and he will get back to you.
